ADVISORY FOR TUESDAY MAY, 30: Summer Lee to Tour Lab, Announce New Funding for Infrastructure and Jobs Research

On Tuesday, May 30th, Congresswoman Summer Lee will host an open press lab tour, research showcase and funding announcement event at Mill 19 in Hazelwood Green for an overview of Carnegie Mellon intelligent transportation research projects with local community partners as well as national research partners, including community colleges and Minority Serving Institutions. 

The event will conclude with a press conference where the Congresswoman will announce a major federal funding award to Carnegie Mellon University and its research partners on new funding for research and deployment projects directly benefiting Pennsylvania’s commuters and workforce, with a focus on equitable and sustainable transportation technologies and broadening inclusivity in STEM research, education and deployment.
