(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — Congresswoman Summer Lee (PA-12) has been appointed to serve on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee in the 118th Congress. 

Ranking Member Jamie Raskin said, “I’m excited to welcome to the Oversight and Accountability Committee Rep. Summer Lee, whose passion to make government work for the people will be a major new boost for our Committee. I look forward to partnering with Rep. Lee to defend the truth this Congress and ensure an effective and efficient government that works to promote the common good.”

Congresswoman Summer Lee said, “You sent me to Washington to take on the billionaire CEOs and stand up for the people of Western PA – especially marginalized and poor communities like the one I’m from.

And I’ll work towards Clean Energy Manufacturing that will open the door for climate justice, clean air and water in every neighborhood, fair wages, dignified work conditions, and thousands of union jobs.”
