Rep Lee Joins Stevens, Colleagues in Condemning Hamas and Calling for the Immediate Return of Hostages 

Resolution forcefully condemns Hamas, calls them out for committing war crimes, and calls for the immediate return of hostages.

Washington, D.C. (October 18, 2023) — Today, Representative Summer Lee (PA-12) joined 196 colleagues in introducing a bipartisan resolution that forcefully condemns Hamas and demands the immediate return of all hostages. 

“The terrorist violence that the people of Israel have been subjected to by Hamas has been horrifying. The Israeli government says 199 people are being held hostage in Gaza, including children. I condemn Hamas and their actions in the strongest possible terms. The capturing of civilians is not only terrifying and wrong, it is also fundamentally against international law. It is time for Hamas to release the hostages and end the violence against civilians once and for all.”
