11 AM STOP: Allies for Health + Wellbeing Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Allies for Health + Wellbeing is proud to announce that they recently expanded their services and have opened a pharmacy in their office at 5913 Penn Ave., in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh. They are hosting a ribbon cutting for the pharmacy with Congresswoman Summer Lee at 11 AM on Thursday, June 20.

Allies for Health + Wellbeing, formerly the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force, is the oldest and largest HIV service organization in southwestern Pennsylvania, and they serve 11 counties. Allies provides HIV specialty care, primary care, gender-affirming care, gynecological care, STI testing and treatment, and supportive human services such as case management and a food pantry, and much more.

12PM STOP: East Allegheny Meals-on-Wheels 50th Anniversary Year Luncheon

Congresswoman Summer Lee will present a proclamation to East Allegheny Meals on Wheels at the East Allegheny Meals on Wheels 50th Anniversary Luncheon. This proclamation and event will recognize Meals on Wheels invaluable contributions to our community, and advocate for the continued need for this critical program.

Meals on Wheels can serve a senior for an entire year for roughly the same cost as a single day in the hospital or ten days in a nursing home. This underscores the importance of supporting such programs that provide essential services efficiently and compassionately.
