Today Summer Lee was sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives to serve Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District in the 118th Congress. Representative Lee made history as the first Black woman ever elected to Congress from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the first Democratic woman and the first Black member to represent Allegheny County and Pittsburgh in Congress.
