Corporate Accountability
For too long, corporations have written the rules while working people pay the price. Whether it’s Big Pharma hiking prescription drug prices, fossil fuel CEOs poisoning our air and water, or tech giants exploiting our data, corporations have too much power over our economy, our democracy, and our lives.
We must put power back where it belongs: with the people. That means cracking down on corporate price-gouging, ending tax breaks for billionaires and giant corporations, and holding polluters accountable for the damage they’ve done to our communities. It means ending the revolving door between corporations and government and passing strong antitrust laws to stop monopolies from controlling entire industries.
That’s why I’ve introduced the Abolish Super PACs Act and the OLIGARCH Act to curb the influence of billionaires in our politics and address the wealth inequality in our country. Our government and our economy should work for workers, not just Wall Street. This is about economic justice, racial justice, and the restoration of our democracy.
